Master’s project on RA available

Two Master’s projects are available for students interested in learning more about epidemiological methodology and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). A suitable background is in one of epidemiology, statistics or medicine, and the students selected for the projects are required to have either previous experience or a strong interest in learning how to perform analysis and do data preparation in the statistical program R.

One of the projects is about investigating if and how physical activity affects the progression of RA, and the other is about characterizing the sleep habits in patients with early RA. Both projects are based on the  Swedish Epidemiological Investigation of RA (EIRA) study, a case-control material with detailed information on lifestyle factors in patients with RA.

You can find more information about the project looking into physical activity and progression of RA here, and information about the project on sleep habits in patients with RA can be found here.
